ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT POSITION

The Brandon Youth Soccer Association (BYSA) is seeking an Administrative Assistant able

to handle the challenges of one of Brandon’s largest participation sports. We are seeking a

mature candidate with the ability to multi-task and to handle high work volumes. Under the

direction of the Executive Director, the Assistant is responsible for the coordination of the

BYSA’s office administration as well as BYSA’s programs and projects.

This position is permanent/part-time. Salary is negotiable, based upon experience.

A full description of duties will be supplied upon receipt of the candidate’s resume.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• At least three (3) years’ experience in office administration or a related diploma or

degree in office management in a related field.

• Maturity and experience related to the job description are essential.

• Strong working knowledge of computers & software including Microsoft Office

Programs.

• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written.

• Knowledge of the game of soccer.

• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

• Ability to work well either independently or as part of a team.

• Able to pass a Criminal Record Check including the vulnerable sector.

• Must possess a valid Manitoba Driver’s License and reliable vehicle.

• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends periodically.

Kids that Kick ages 4-10 in St Augustine School, Brandon

Our “Kids That Kick” program focuses on building skills for aspiring young soccer players.     These are instructional sessions with lots of fun activities to build soccer skills and then they play short games.

There will be a head facilitator and coaches for the smaller groups.  Groups will be between 6-8 kids.  The different sessions are as follows:

 

Ages 4-5                 Mondays 6 -7pm       FULL (waiting list now applied)

Ages 7-8                 Mondays 7-8pm        FULL (waiting list now applied)

Ages 6-7                 Tuesday 6-7pm          FULL  (waiting list now applied)

Ages 9-10               Tuesday 7-8pm          3 SPOTS LEFT!

 

Cost per Player: 20 week Program at St. Augustine School.  $150.00 (Nov 3rd to April 7th, 2015) and includes a jersey.

 

League Play ages  11 – 16 either at New Era School or St Augustine School, Brandon

Mixed Under 12     (St Augustine School)                              Wednesdays 6-7:30pm or 7:30-9pm

Mixed Under 18     (New Era School)                                     Mondays 6-7:30pm or 7:30-9pm

 

**This is only tentative, as we have to wait until after registration is done to make final decisions on divisions, days and times. **

Cost per player is $140 and includes 12 game sessions that run from November 3rd, 2014 until February 5th, 2015.

Indoor Soccer Registration Dates & Times

Registration will be held at the BYSA Office  37 -11th Street  

(Chamber of Commerce Building, side door, 3rd floor, Room #204

  Monday to Friday from 11am – 4pm from September 3rd to 26th, 2014

                                                                      Tuesday, September 16th from 11am – 7pm

Training Academy U10-18 at Brandon University (Henry Champ Gym)

WESTMAN FC plans to hold its Twelfth Winter Academy training program this winter.  Laurie McIvor, from MSA will continue as head coach for this program. He will facilitate all training sessions and programming with his team of certified coaches. The soccer program is designed to help players perform, and execute high level techniques, while demonstrating a keen insight into the game’s nuances. Training will be age specific and based on the Canadian Soccer Association player development plan.  (Payment to Westman FC – Cash or Cheque only)
