Brandon Youth Soccer Association, Inc. (BYSA)

Brandon Youth Soccer Association, Inc. (BYSA) was founded in 1977.

BYSA is the largest community association part of the Westman Regional Soccer Association (WRSA) and the only sanctioned option for youth soccer in Brandon.

BYSA is responsible for working in partnership with WRSA to deliver community stream (formerly known as house league) soccer programming in Brandon that follows MSA and CSA's Long Term Player Development Model and the Player Pathway.

BYSA currently offers both outdoor programming from May to September and indoor (futsal) programming from October to March.

Children aged 3 to 8 can participate in the mini soccer programming, while children aged 9 to 18 participate in the community stream programming.

Developmental and Premier soccer programming are now run through WRSA.

Objectives

a) to foster and support the development of sanctioned youth soccer throughout the City of Brandon;


b) to govern the playing of sanctioned youth soccer in Brandon;


c) to assist with the technical development and enhancement of soccer skills for youth in Brandon;


d) to further public interest in youth soccer in Brandon;


e) to cooperate with other soccer associations, including Manitoba Soccer Association and Westman Regional Soccer Association in the development of youth soccer in Manitoba;
