Lisa Rowley
Acting President / Treasurer
Lisa joined the board of Brandon Youth Soccer Association in September of 2018, becoming the Treasurer at the November AGM. Lisa got her start with BYSA at the age of 7 as a player in the spring league. She progressed to playing on year-round competitive teams in both Brandon and Winnipeg. She was a member of the provincial team 3 years in a row and competed for Manitoba in the 2005 Canada Summer Games in Regina. She has spent the last two years coaching her oldest son in the U5 and U6 age divisions.
Professionally, Lisa is a partner in Myphone.ca and is the Director of Operations. Myphone.ca is a TELUS authorized dealer serving Westman with stores in Brandon and Virden.
Directors
Nicholas Malazdrewicz
Nicholas has been a Director for Brandon Youth Soccer Association since 2018. He has played soccer in Brandon since he was 5 and along with the BYSA Spring season, has played on travel (outdoor and indoor), high school and senior men's teams as well as refereed. Most recently he has volunteered to coach his son’s teams since 2017.
Nicholas works for the City of Brandon as a Geomatics Specialist where he is part of a group that helps collect and manage geospatial data.
Geoff Milne
Geoff has been involved with soccer for most of his life, starting with BYSA. Upon graduating from youth soccer, he continued to play at the high school level followed by 17 years of senior men’s soccer. In addition to participating in the sport as a player, Geoff coached and managed a very successful soccer program at Vincent Massey High School where in 16 seasons his team won the city championship 12 times and made it to the urban provincial finals twice. Beyond his high school experience, he also co-founded, managed and co-coached his senior men’s soccer team, coached women’s soccer, served multiple years as an Executive Member and Treasurer for the Senior Men’s Board of Directors, and was the Men’s Soccer Venue Manager for Brandon’s 1997 Canada Summer Games event.
Currently Geoff enjoys coaching his three boys in BYSA and joined the Board of Directors in 2020.
Professionally, Geoff possesses an MBA and is a Business Instructor at Assiniboine Community College’s School of Business.
